Liliana Borders - Colby
|
Liliana Borders, 23, of Colby, Kansas, is the daughter of Shannon Borders and a graduate of Colby Community College’s Criminal Justice program. She is pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Communications at Texas State University. Raised in an agricultural family, she developed a strong work ethic while helping on her families’ commercial cow/calf operation. She aspires to work for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to serve others in critical situations. |
Kaitlyn Peters – Lakin
|
Kaitlyn Peters has had one foot in opposite corners of the state for the past few years as a 2026Kansas State University Outstanding Senior from Lakin, Kansas. The 24-year-old daughter of Alan and Andra Peters was inspired by her family’s passion for agriculture and conservation to earn a bachelor’s degree in Range Management and an Equine Science certificate. Kaityn is thankful to have gained behind-the-chute experience with the K-State Rodeo Club, sharpened her showmanship in the Little American Royal, and witnessed agriculture across the country with the K-State Soils Judging Team. Additionally, she has loved promoting the western lifestyle by modeling for the Aggieville Showdown, embracing heritage while competing in the Kansas Cowboy Poetry Contest, and giving back to 4-H across the state as a judge, instructor, and even as a turtle race announcer. Never knowing where it will take us, Kaitlyn’s greater goal while competing for the Sunflower Crown is to challenge us all to trust God with the reins of this wild ride. “Life is a great adventure...accept it in such a spirit” - Theodore Roosevelt. |
Shelby Ney -
|
Shelby Ney is the 24-year-old daughter of Merl and Brandy Ney. She grew up on her family’s Angus ranch just south of Russell, along with her older sister Shannon. Shelby was actively involved in 4-H and FFA from the age of 5. She enjoyed showing sheep and cattle, was the FFA chapter president her senior year, and earned her state FFA degree. But much to her Dad’s dismay, she always wanted a horse. Without him knowing, she saved up her own money, and Annie miraculously showed up at the ranch. Shelby is currently a student at Fort Hays State University and is working toward her master’s degree in biology. When she is not helping on her family’s ranch, you can find Shelby working with her three horses to perfect her riding and roping skills. Shelby is a true believer in the principles of the western way, where loyalty, respect for others, honesty, and integrity are the basis of every cowgirl’s life. Being a true Kansan and believing God has a plan for everyone, she is super excited to see where the wind will take her next! |
MacKenzie Swan – Kinsley
|
MacKenzie Swan is the 22-year-old daughter of Chip and Becky Swan and proudly calls Kinsley, Kansas home. She competes in the KPRA in barrel racing and her passion for rodeo extends beyond competition, having served in rodeo royalty positions where she has promoted the sport, western heritage, and the values that make the rodeo community so special. Outside the arena, MacKenzie works at the Iroquois Center for Human Development as the community engagement specialist, mental health first aid instructor, and a mobile crisis responder. She is currently pursuing her degree in Social Work through the Fort Hays State University fast track program with plans to continue on to Kansas University for her masters in the fall of 2027.
MacKenzie focuses on increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging conversations about mental health within rodeo, agricultural, and rural communities. Her platform, “Breaking the Stigma: Mental Health Matters in the Arena” focuses on increasing awareness, education, and access to mental health resources within rural, agricultural, and western communities. Through outreach, advocacy, and education, she strives to encourage conversations surrounding mental wellness while reminding others that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. When she’s not working, studying, or competing, MacKenzie enjoys spending time with her horses, supporting local agriculture, and giving back to the communities that have shaped her. She is honored for the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss Rodeo Kansas and represent the state, sport, and western lifestyle she loves. |

Emmy Gibson - Leona
|
Emmy Gibson was born and raised in Northeast Kansas. She is a student at Doniphan West High School in Highland, Kansas. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, working with her horses, creating artwork, and halter-breaking colts for Double T Quarter Horses. When she’s not hanging out with her friends and family, she can be found in an arena or horse pen, working with her horses, or helping others improve their horsemanship skills. She would like to continue helping others and their horses after high school by becoming certified in equine dentistry and equine massage. She hopes to eventually travel the country to provide services to help riders and their horses to become as comfortable and as confident as possible. |
Adeline Robinson – Dodge City

Adeline Robinson is the 18-year-old daughter of Dave and Debi Robinson. Guided by her faith and the values she learned growing up, she is dedicated to serving others and making a positive impact in her community. Adeline serves as president of her 4-H club and vice president of her FFA chapter, where she enjoys promoting agriculture, leadership, and youth involvement. Adeline is honored to represent the western way of life, using the platform to share her convictions, encourage the next generation, and promote the values of horsemanship, sportsmanship, and community service. |
Ramanda Wingfield – Pratt
|
RaManda Wingfield is the daughter of Chris and Mandy Mays. She will be a senior at
Pratt High School in Pratt, Kansas. RaManda currently resides in Kingman, Kansas where she enjoys riding her horses Souix and Fanci. RaManda also loves riding other horses at the farm where she keeps her horses. RaManda got involved with horses and riding the summer of 2020 when she found her heart horse Zues. Zues was able to teach RaManda everything that she knows about horse care and horsemanship. Zues passed away that same year which also came with many lessons of owning horses. RaManda has attended workshops on horsemanship, worked in horse project in 4-H for 3 years, and started junior rodeo in the years following. RaManda’s love for horses has also flowed over to a love of the farm/ranch lifestyle and agriculture. RaManda will start her fifth year in FFA where she has held several positions and is the current Pratt High School FFA President. RaManda has been able to attend multiple livestock judging events, state conventions, and plans to attend National FFA convention this year. RaManda has found a passion for FFA and passing that on to younger children and students. RaManda has been involved in numerous FFA events such as Day on the Farm, Teachers Breakfast, yearly corn sales event, and planning club trips to the Denver Stock show and the Ft Worth Stock show. RaManda plans to continue her education and plans to become an ag teacher. RaManda hopes to narrow down a college soon and hopes to represent that choice on the rodeo team. When RaManda is not busy with rodeos she can be found doing CNA work, spending time with family and friends, or with her dog Wrangler. RaManda would like to thank her family for their support in all of her adventures. |
