Emma Brungardt is the 18-year-old daughter of Michael and Holly Brungardt of Blue Rapids, KS. As a first-generation cowgirl, Emma has immersed herself in the western way of life becoming involved in FFA in high school and coming in the Kansas Wild Horse Youth Challenge for 4 years, winning grand champion in 2019 and 2021. She competed in the Kansas High School Rodeo Association for 2 years and currently attends Colby Community College on a rodeo scholarship and competes in barrel racing, breakaway roping and goat tying.

- in 2023, the MRKP Board of Directors has voted to change the reign of MTRK to begin at the conclusion of the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo and run through the end of the pageant the following year.
- Application documents can be requesting by emailing [email protected]. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. We are excited for this change and hope that it will accommodate more young women interested in competing for this prestigious title in our great state.
