2023 MTRK Contestant
Alana Rohrer - I was born May of 2006 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I have three younger siblings. Due to my Dad being in the Air Force, I moved quite a bit; having lived in Florida, England, Wyoming, and now Kansas. After he retired in 2017 we moved to an acreage in El Dorado because my parents wanted to live in the country and give us kids the different experiences that come with that life style.
This past spring as a Sophomore, I approached the principal at my school sharing my desire with him that I wanted to develop a rodeo team of high school students to represent Circle around the state. He was pleased with my presentation and we will be meeting with the superintendent next. My hope is to see this come together before I graduate so that I can be a part of it as well.
Until I was able to have my own horse, I had a friend that let me borrow her older mare. Riding nearly daily with her, I started learning how to break and train horses. I received an older gelding to work with as I pursued my dream with rodeo. I recently got my own project horse and we continue to be a work in progress, learning new things to this day. I am very passionate about my faith, animals, and the patriotism of this country. I love working with kids and teaching them the western way of life. I am always willing to help where it is needed and enjoy being around people.
