Heather Temple is the 22 year old daughter of Randy and Trudi Temple of rural El Dorado, KS. She was born and raised at the base of the Flint Hills at the Lightning “T” Ranch. She is a graduate of Flinthills High School. She attended Colby Community College her freshman year of college where she was the Open Rider on the Equestrian team. She attended Butler Community College part-time and works in the banking industry. Heather competed in high school rodeo and numerous youth rodeo circuits competing in barrel racing, breakaway roping and goat-tying. She was the 2007 Youth Goat-tying Champion at the World Wide Paint Horse Congress and Reserve Champion in 2009. She is also an accomplished equestrian winning State and National titles in Showmanship, Equitation and Horsemanship. Her previous rodeo titles include 2002 OPtHA Sweetheart, 2005 CPRA Princess, 2006 Miss Teen Rodeo Kansas, 2007 Junction City Rodeo Queen, 2008 Beef Empire Days Queen and 2011 Miss CPRA. She is a devout Christian & has been blessed with supportive family & friends. She is excited to promote the sport of rodeo and make new life long friends throughout her reign as Miss Rodeo Kansas.
